Located in the heart of Texas' south central prairie region, the Pintail Hunting Club offers some of the area's finest waterfowling. Every Fall the central flyway deposits thousands of migrating ducks and geese onto traditional wintering grounds surrounding our famous El Cielo Lodge, and since 1980, the club has specialized in providing its hunters with the fullest shotgunning experience. From early September teal season to the last snow goose hunt in February, the action never stops.

Owned and operated by Al and Martha Shimek, managed by Brian Center, the Pintail oversees in excess of 20,000 acres of leased land. These areas include harvested rice stubble, planted rye grass, numerous prairie ponds and roosting lakes that consistently harbor tens of thousands of birds. "It's a thrill of a lifetime to hunt these great concentrations."

Al Shimek and Brian Center have a combined 50 years experience as professional waterfowl guides and have dedicated themselves to providing the highest quality hunt experience. Attention to detail is their number one concern.

The club is a full-service outfitter that supplies ammunition, licenses, stamps or whatever the discerning sportsman may need. All meals are included and prepared by our in house chefs who supply the best in home style southern cooking.
